Introducing Vincent Mirabelli CBAP PMP who has joined the Bob the BA and The Uncommon League team to lead our new Lean Six Sigma Program. We're excited to have Vincent onboard for our exciting new approach to modern collaborative approaches for Lean Six Sigma and the Business Analyst.

There is one thing that is common to all businesses, sectors, and industries; decisions. This is a vital part of how we operate, strategize, and grow. However, those decisions, and the results that follow, are often based solely on intuition and/or experience; based largely on feeling. With Lean Six Sigma, we aim to remove the personal and political element inherent in business, by quantifying your pain points, and using tools that are central to the methodology, provide a means of determining your probabilities of success. That’s not to say that intuition and feeling are a bad thing. We don’t want to eliminate this “tribal knowledge” from the discussion. Instead, we are going to use this as a jumping off point, after which we will use data to guide the process, using these probabilities as a means of quantifiable validation, which will inform all of our decisions.

The ultimate goal is to get your company’s systems, products and processes as close to perfection as possible, with a high level of quality, balanced with minimal process variation.

What is Lean Six Sigma?

Lean Six Sigma is a structured, data driven methodology that can be applied to any aspect of business; to improve customer satisfaction, to eliminate waste and to increase profit and productivity. Central to this is the idea that, where work is being done, waste is being generated. It would stand to reason then, that the more waste, the greater the chance of providing a poor or inconsistent customer experience, have longer cycle and lead times, and increased likelihood of quality issues, such as defect. All of this translates into one thing - profit loss.

Through classroom instruction, and available in-house support and deployment of the Six Sigma tools throughout your business, your Belt candidates will learn how to identify and quantify problems, then turning those problems into a solution, all guided by logic and data.

Public Course Instructor - Vincent Mirabelli is a process improvement thought leader, speaker, trainer, and coach, and has been described as the "Death Star" of process improvement, for his ability to see opportunities for improvement everywhere, and make process bottlenecks, constraints and pains, disappear. Through his firm, Global Project Synergy (GPS) Group, Vince is a frequent speaker and instructor, on the topics of process and project management, organizational culture, and business analysis. Through this work, Vince’s primary focus has been to share his knowledge and experience, helping businesses achieve optimal project and process outcomes. 

He is a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP®), Certified Customer Experience Professional (CCXP), and holds a certification in change management from Prosci®. He is a member of the International Advisory Board for the CXPA (Customer Experience Professionals Association), and has spoken, taught, and "edutained" audiences at numerous workshops, conferences, and training sessions internationally.
